2026 Royal Dragon Gold Coin | PCGS & NGC MS68–MS70
The 2026 Royal Dragon Gold Coin is the latest release in The Royal Mint’s Tudor Beasts collection. Struck from 1 troy ounce of .9999 fine gold, every coin is professionally graded by NGC or PCGS and supplied in Mint State grades MS68–MS70.
The 2026 Royal Dragon Gold Coin is the first Dragon design released within The Royal Mint’s Tudor Beasts series and is expected to become one of the collection’s most recognisable issues.
Inspired by one of the ten heraldic beasts that stand along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, the Royal Dragon symbolises strength, protection and royal authority. Closely associated with Welsh heritage, it became an enduring emblem of the Tudor dynasty after Henry VII adopted the Red Dragon following his victory at the Battle of Bosworth.
The reverse, designed by David Lawrence, depicts the Royal Dragon protecting a shield bearing the Beaufort Portcullis against The Royal Mint’s signature chain-mail security background. The obverse features the official portrait of King Charles III.
2026 Royal Dragon Gold Coin Certification
Every coin has been independently graded and encapsulated by NGC or PCGS, the world’s leading third-party grading companies.
Only coins achieving grades between MS66 and MS70 are supplied, representing premium Mint State examples with outstanding strike quality, lustre and eye appeal.
Coins graded MS69 and the perfect MS70 are especially sought after by collectors due to their exceptional condition and typically command higher premiums on the secondary market.
2026 Royal Dragon Gold Coin Grade Allocation
Each coin is selected from certified stock graded between MS66 and MS70 by NGC or PCGS.
This listing gives buyers the opportunity to own a premium certified example, while allowing access to the highest grades within the series at a more competitive price than purchasing individual graded coins separately.
All coins supplied will fall within the advertised MS66–MS70 grade range.
